Apple used its WWDC to announce the long awaited augmented reality update for its operating system, IOS.

AR Kit, Apple’s new developer kit, allows users to add virtual objects or features via motion tracking on iPads and iPhones. Demonstrating AR developed for Pokemon and Peter Jackson’s startup – WingNut AR – Apple promised that the new update would be available when IOS 11 ships this September. It looks amazing!

Its aim is simple; make AR Kit the biggest AR platform in the world.
