A new sleep tech startup has already hit its Kickstarter target in just 24 hours.

Circadia, created by a team of alumni from Imperial College London alongside scientists from the University of Oxford and Harvard Medical School, say that they are obsessed with good sleep. They claim to have developed the world’s first complete solution to re-sync your body clock using light based on analysis of your sleep.

The aim is to help you fall asleep faster and wake up more refreshed by controlling your circadian rhythm using NASA inspired light science. Light affects our internal body clock, also known as our circadian rhythm. An internal clock that is out of sync leads to difficulties sleeping, waking up in the morning feeling groggy and feeling exhausted at work.

Backed by a proprietary app, the Circadia system features The Circadia Sleep Tracker, a contactless sleep monitor, and The Circadia Lamp: a portable therapy light to tune your body clock.
