I have made the clearances tight, shouldn’t be a problem for Raspberry Pi but you may need to tweak the hole placement for your DAC in the FreeCAD file. It’s tweezers to get he SD card out if you are using the Pi 3 A+.

I used 11mm M3 standoffs between the Pi and the DAC, 10mm M3 cap screws through the base and around 14mm M3 cap screw between the RCA jacks.

If you use M3 screws through the base, you will need to drill out the mounting holes in the Raspberry Pi board to 3mm. I run a M3 tap trough the mounting hole between the RCA jacks for the screw and I was able to tighten it plenty.

I found it easier to put the boards into the case without the base attached to them.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
