Shared by Erazo on Thingiverse:

The absolute most basic foundation for building your own completely custom Mandalorian helmet.

A Mandalorian helmet has extremely iconic curves that polygon modeling can break the flow of if you’re not careful. I wanted to make my helmet in Fusion 360 instead so I could have better control.

I’ve also uploaded an unscaled STL quicky exported from Fusion 360, but be aware that polygon mesh exports from Fusion 360 are gnarly and no print testing has been done.

This helmet base is uploaded under the CC Attribution license so direct people to this page when applicable. Other than that, go wild with making your own helmet!

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
