This is a toy set inspired by the Airbus A318, but meant to be playable and not a perfect scale model. I’ve tried to make the doors work, and with a bit of sanding and work I hope you’ll be able to get the doors working.

Model is 50cm long (scale 1:62.9). Scale down the STL’s to 0,72 to get H0 (scale 1:87). However please note that I cannot guarantee that it works in that scale as it’s not designed for that. But if you print with a resin printer it should work fine.

I’ve changed the hinge mechanism for the uploaded version from mine, as I realized it’s better to put some kind of pin through the doors (like carbon fiber) so for the uploaded version, I’ve prepared the cargo doors and hull elements with 1mm holes for pins. (This does not apply to the cabin doors).

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
