Bluefruit LE Sniffer – Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE 4.0) – nRF51822 – Firmware Version 2: Interested in learning how Bluetooth Low Energy works down to the packet level? Debugging your own BLE hardware, and trying to spot where something is going wrong? Or maybe you’re writing a custom application for your phone or tablet that needs to talk to existing BLE hardware, but you don’t know how it works beneath the surface? We have the perfect tool for you!

This Bluefruit LE Friend is programmed with a special firmware image that turns it into an easy to use Bluetooth Low Energy sniffer. You can passively capture data exchanges between two BLE devices, pushing the data into Wireshark, the open source network analysis tool, where you can visualize things on a packet level, with useful descriptors to help you make sense of the values without having to crack open the 2000 page Bluetooth 4.0 Core Specification every time. High Temp Waterproof DS18B20 Digital Temperature Sensor – 3m long: This is a pre-wired and waterproofed version of the DS18B20 sensor made with a PTFE wire cable. Handy for when you need to measure something far away, or in wet conditions. This sensor is a little more expensive than the other waterproof version we have with a PVC cable because this one can be used up to 125°C – the limit of the sensor itself. That said, it’s still not recommended for salt-water or corrosive environments since the stainless steel will eventually rust! See more!

Mini On/Off Push-Button Switch: Push once to turn on, push again to turn off, push again to turn the other side on, one last push and it’s off again! It’s basically a push-button toggle switch that connects and disconnects.

This clicky Mini On/Off Button switch makes a great power switch or mode toggler. They’re often referred to as ‘flashlight’ switches because you see them used in small flashlights. Can reliably handle up to 500mA and up to 12VDC. See more!

Thermocouple Type-K Glass Braid Insulated – 5m: Thermocouples are best used for measuring temperatures that can go above 100°C. This is a bare-wire bead-probe which can measure air or surface temperatures. Most inexpensive thermocouples have a vinyl covering which can melt at around 200°C, this one uses a fiberglass braid so it can be used in high temperature measurements such as heaters and ovens. There’s a small piece of heat shrink on the end to keep the fiberglass from fraying. If you’re using at >250°C temperatures, simply remove it with a small blade. See more!
